Area Information

Little Venice and Maida Vale are adjoining residential locations situated about a mile to the north of Marble Arch.  They offer an escape from the hustle and bustle of City life with wide, often tree lined, streets and the Regents Canal.  There are numerous open spaces ranging from the hidden, beautifully maintained private communal gardens to Paddington Recreation Ground. Regents Park is also within easy reach by short taxi ride or 20-30 minute walk.

The areas offer a wide selection of properties including elegant family houses, flats in converted houses and apartments in both mansion and more modern purpose built blocks.

Little Venice and Maida Vale are well served by public transport connections with both having an Underground station on the Bakerloo Line. There are also regular bus services and Paddington main line station, with the Heathrow Express, is close by.

There are several shopping parades offering goods and services from the large chains of convenience stores to the independent specialists.  There is also a wide choice of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and public houses.

St. Johns Wood
is a well established, highly desirable residential area named by the then owners, the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, in the 13th Century.  The area was first developed in the early 19th Century unusually using large low density ‘Villa’ style houses rather than the traditional ‘terraces’.  Many of these impressive villas or their later replacements can be seen in such exclusive streets as Avenue Road and Hamilton Terrace.  As well as these grand villas the area now has a vast range of smaller family houses and purpose built apartment blocks.

The area retains a secluded and tranquil atmosphere having wide tree lined streets, the open spaces of Regents Park with London Zoo and the stunning views from Primrose Hill.  It is also home to Lords Cricket Ground and the Abbey Road Studios along with a variety of shops in St. Johns Wood High Street.
It is dotted with numerous notable restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and public houses.  Access to the City and West End is easy with excellent public transport connections provided by the Underground (Jubilee Line) and regular bus services.
